Nyona South Mud Lake Conservancy District

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I suspend my sewer service when I am not here?

No. Unfortunately the district’s rate is a flat-rate charge that is billed 12 months of the year whether you use it or not.

If I disconnect from the sewer system do I still have to pay?

Yes. As long as a sewer producing structure exists you are still required to pay the full rate. If a property is demolished you can petition the board to have your rate reduced to debt service only.

If I combine my two lots do I have to continue to pay debt service on my second lot?

Yes. You are required to pay debt service because your lot was included in the original assessment when the district was formed. The original number of participating lots was used to determine the debt service amount for all freeholders. There is no way for the district to recoup any amount if a customer were to stop paying.

What fees are required for new connections?

A $50.00 inspection fee only is required for customers that have been paying the monthly debt service. If your lot does not have a grinder station and you have not been paying monthly debt services then you will be responsible for paying tap fees along with a $50.00 inspection fee. Please contact us to find out the current tap fee rate.
